Supporters of Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders have undoubtedly been divided. The "Bernie Bros" as they affectionately have referred to themselves, have been unrelenting in their support of the Vermont senator until the end of his campaign. And while some still are, others are joining Biden to get Donald Trump out of the White House. And that's increasing after Sanders endorsed Biden this week, calling for Democrats to stand together.

This week, Bernie Sanders came out in support of likely Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.

The unexpected endorsement occurred via a shared video chat among the two Democrats. Biden went on to ensure those supporters of Sanders that he understands their concerns. "To Bernie’s supporters: I see you, I hear you, and I understand the urgency of what it is we have to get done in this country," he tweeted. "I hope you will join us. You are more than welcome on this campaign. You’re needed."

And contrary to the naysayers, there are those ready to band together with Biden to defeat Donald Trump in the fall.

While there were millions on the side of Sanders, rooting for his victory, many of his supporters are still just that, simply taking Sanders' advice and voting for Biden.

"I'm with Bernie and Chomsky," someone tweeted. "I'm voting for Biden."

Because ultimately, it's all about getting rid of Agent Orange, right?

There's one thing that this country can't afford, and it's four more years with Trump. "Agree with Bernie," someone tweeted. "We all should get behind Biden, throw out Trump/the GOP and stop a 7-2 conservative Supreme Court from happening. Biden is far from ideal and we tried to defeat him, but he won. The best path forward: push Joe left, vote for him and run a progressive in 2024."

We can really get the trifecta here!

Considering Biden has made it clear that he intends to select a woman vice president, adding Sanders to his team is a sure way to move the country in a better direction. "Biden + Bernie + a Woman VP = SOME FRIGGIN’ HOPE, PEOPLE!" someone tweeted.

And the wives are joining forces too.

Dr. Jill Biden extended her gratitude to Sanders' wife, Jane. "Grateful for @JaneOSanders, who has dedicated herself to lifting up and working on behalf of students," Biden tweeted. "Today, we unite. Together, we will win in November. Thank you, Jane and Bernie. #NotMeUs #TeamJoe"
