We're totally buggin' because the cast of the long-awaited Off Broadway production of "Clueless: The Musical" was finally solidified. It's been a few years since the show was announced, but it took this long to pick the perfect Cher.
The rich and popular Cher Horowitz, the role that made Alicia Silverstone a household name back in 1995, will be played by none other than Dove Cameron.
The actress wowed everyone with her vocals in the TV performance, with people claiming she out-sang Ariana Grande.
The musical will be based on Amy Heckerling's 1995 film of the same name, which was a modern spin on Jane Austen's "Emma."
As for the music, we can expect a reimagining of '90s hits into "ingenious parodies and yearning monologues for her lovesick characters."
"It’s a jukebox musical," Heckerling told MTV back in 2016. "It's as if the ‘90s was one year, and we're taking songs from the ‘90s and playing with the lyrics to make them tell the story."
