Stranger Things fans are about to have a strange and unusually awesome summer thanks to the return of their favorite show, but that's not all! The Netflix original series is celebrating its upcoming third season by treating its loyal viewers to a wardrobe upgrade via H&M. The retailer and series have partnered to launch a clothing collection for fans who can't get enough of the show and want to wear the love on their sleeves!
The retailer also provided a lot more tea on its official press website.
"H&M is thrilled to announce a collaboration with Netflix and their smash-hit television series Stranger Things, which heads into their highly anticipated third season later this summer. The capsule collection centers around the Hawkins Community Pool and features a Stranger Things-inspired range of clothing, swimwear, and accessories for both women and men. It will be available in stores worldwide, as well as on hm.com, from 23 May."
Translation: Stranger Things and H&M are just begging us to attend a pool party in this new collection.
This collection comes just in time for the third season.
Fans have been waiting for season three since Netflix confirmed it in December 2017. "FOR THE LOVE OF STEVE, DUH! So hold tight baby darts — season three is officially happening," Netflix wrote on Twitter. The post came after the streaming service held a poll to see whether or not fans actually wanted a season. Unsurprisingly, 87% of poll takers share that they wanted it.
The new collection actually hints at what's to come in the upcoming third season!
"In the upcoming third season of Netflix’s Stranger Things, new locations in [the] fictional town of Hawkins are introduced and H&M have exclusivity to carry the show’s storytelling into the realm of fashion with a summer capsule collection based around the community pool," H&M shared in a statement.
"With graphic t-shirts and tanks, shorts, playsuits, swimwear and a range of poolside accessories, the Stranger Things collection is both an homage to the iconic 1980s styles of the show and lazy summer days by the pool."
If you can't tell, the collection campaign stars the smoking hot Dacre Montgomery who plays Billy Hargrove on Stranger Things.
I repeat: This collection stars one of the HOTTEST guys on the Stranger Things series. Do you see how Dacre Montgomery's skin glows? He has the perfect tan and his hair looks divine. Sheesh.
If you're interested in which pieces he prefers from the full H&M x Stranger Things collection, then he's already shared his favorite pick with H&M Magazine.
“The black, short-sleeved shirt was so comfortable," he told the retailer's publication.
"Sometimes for me, it’s less about the items itself and more about the way it fits. Is it light, breathable, and most importantly flattering? That shirt possesses all of those qualities.”
He also forgot that he looks like a satisfying snack while wearing it but I digress.
There are also plenty of stylish picks in the women's category.
Get into that Hawkins T-shirt and Stranger Things fanny pack! H&M and coming through with simple pieces that are perfect for wearing to the pool this summer. Still, these designs make decent picks all year-round for anyone who loves the Stranger Things series and wants to show the world.
Psst... I should also let you know that the T-shirt worn by the model in this photo is actually an oversized crop top that she tied at her waist. It will cost 10 euros which is approximately $11 when it drops on the site.
As for the pool slides, they'll come in two color options.
Digging these summer kicks? The Stranger Things pool slide have a simple design with the show logo across both shoes. Fans will be able to grab them in two colorways: red and white or black and white. They'll be available for 15 euros which is about $17.
It also wouldn't be a pool-dedicated collection without actual swimwear, right?
Yes for this color-blocked pink and blue swimsuit situation! I also adore that it has a criss-cross back detail and a waist-tie in the front. This swimsuit will be available for 15 euros which is about $17. A red one-piece lifeguard swimsuit is also in the lineup for the same price.
