Ever since puberty reared its ugly head, we've all been dealing with acne. For some of us, it is frustratingly cystic, and for others, it's annoyingly hormonal. Managing acne and skin is a super-personal process –– and ultimately, what works for one might not work for another. However, when nearly 3,000 people swear that a product helped them with their acne, it's fair to give it a shot.

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion

The drying lotion in question is supposed to work overnight to banish pimples while you sleep. Formulated with salicylic acid, sulfur, and zinc oxide, the ingredients aim to draw out impurities from the skin.

The instructions are fairly specific:

"After cleansing and toning, dip a cotton swab into the pink sediment at the bottom of the bottle. Dab directly on the surface blemish; do not rub in. Let dry and rinse off in the morning. Do not use on broken skin. Do not apply to the eye or lip area. If product gets into eyes, rinse well with water."

If the bottle arrives "shaken," allow it to settle before use. Once that is done, let it work its magic.

Out of the 2,999 reviews this product received, 81% of customers were happy with their purchases.

User Caerly Hill labeled it as "bottled wizard tears to kiss away your spots!" This is officially the best review any product could ever get.

"Honestly, I assume that this dainty bottle is powered by some sort of magic because this stuff is truly ah-mazing! Not long ago, I had a deep pimple that was building to a slow crescendo of awful (important to note, I usually have clear skin), and my mother-in-law recommended this stuff to me. She promised that it would drastically reduce the pimple, if not zap it overnight. I was wary, but I also had a business trip coming up and I was worried that the tender mound was going to blossom into a third eyeball by the time I stepped off the plane for client meetings. I dabbed a tiny amount of this stuff on the zit after my nightly facial routine (it kind of looks like calamine lotion) and went to bed not expecting much. No joke, this miracle elixir managed to shrink the nasty little sucker so much, that the tenderness had gone away!"

Though many noted that this product was not really for cystic acne, those who suffer from bad hormonal breakouts may find it super useful.

"Best product ever," raves reviewer Luara Rosa. "I use it every night on my problem areas. Really worth it for those with hormonal acne. Which was my case. I use this product every night on pimples are coming out. It really helps with the pain and appearance. I saw great improvements from this product."

And in case you needed any more convincing, there were plenty of reviewers willing to show how much just one use helped improve their skin.

"I have combination/sensitive skin and this didn't irritate my skin and it worked wonders! My skin likes to have bouts of breakouts, especially around that ~time of the month~ and this worked OVERNIGHT. I washed my face, toned, moisturized, and applied the drying lotion with a qtip and went to bed. The next morning the spots on my face were greatly reduced and waaaaaay less red. Some of them were completely gone!"

This little "miracle" worker is apparently worth the investment.
