Super Bowl LI featured a super-close game between the New England Patriots and the Atlanta Falcons, a number of funny and heartwarming commercials, and a stellar half-time performance by the incomparable Lady Gaga.

But for whatever reason, the only thing that some people could focus on was Gaga's ~super offensive~ "belly roll."

Wait — her what now?

Maybe we need to get a closer look...

(::squinting::) What, you mean THAT?

Apparently, yes.

Trolls attacked the singer while performing in a pair of sequined bottoms and a glamorous, midriff-revealing, football-style top. Never mind her flawless pipes or killer dance moves — this was the thing they honed in on.

Fortunately, her fans immediately struck back, and struck back HARD, praising her body as a wonderful and realistic example of someone who's in shape without being "perfect."

Lady Gaga has a history with eating disorders and sexual assault, and people think it's OK to dissect her body. Um... am I missing something here?

Gaga has not addressed the trolls at all — rather she went straight to thanking her little monsters for watching her kickass half-time show.

"So!!!!!??? What did you guys think of the #PepsiHalftime show? I love performing for you," she later tweeted.

You killed it, Gaga — that's what we think. Never change.
