4 poses that will slay your selfie game

As a blogger, I constantly get messages from my followers asking me how to become a model. The truth: I am not a model so that's a tough one to answer.

But years of style blogging have forced me to be in front of the camera. I started out shaky but I've grown super confident in my selfie skills. I have become a bit of an expert, actually.

On that note, I decided to break down my four signature selfie poses.

THE SIDE SELFIE: The trick to a good side selfie is framing your face.

Turn your head to the side and raise your shoulder. A sexy smize won't hurt.

The end result should look like this.

THE MIRROR SELFIE: I always look for a full-size mirror when I enter a room. A mirror selfie is the best way to show off your #OOTD.

This selfie is all about the pose. Cross one leg over and push your waist to the side. Use your free hand to emphasize your shape.

Here's an example of a mirror selfie.

THE CLASSIC SELFIE: A close-up selfie is the best way to show off your #MOTD (makeup of the day). Taking the basic selfie to the next level is all about the angle of your camera.

Push your elbow in towards your body and lean the phone slightly down.

I may have screamed out "YAAAAASSS" to myself after taking this selfie.

THE HAIR-FIE: Selfies are just lies in pictures. I give the illusion of freshly blown-out hair with this trick. First, flip your hair forward.

Now flip it back into place and position your free hand like so. You have to be quick for this one because gravity is a bitch.

If you have a short neck or want to elongate your face, push your tongue towards the roof of your mouth. This will emphasize your jawline and elongate your neck.
