Jordyn Woods, who already has "model" and "Kylie Jenner BFF" on her resume, can now add
"designer" to the list. Woods is collaborating on her own line of streetwear with plus-size brand Addition Elle — and according to WWD, the collection will show at New York Fashion Week.
Woods, who has previously modeled for Addition Elle, is excited to create a collection with the brand.
“They embody everything I stand for,” said Woods, according to WWD. “I’ve been working and modeling with them for years and it was amazing to bring our relationship full circle. They are a style destination for women who embrace their figures so it’s exiting to create something.”
The collection will debut at New York Fashion Week in September and be available for purchase on September 11.
There aren't many plus-size collections shown at New York Fashion Week — or any major fashion week, for that matter. So this is a MAJOR DEAL.
And following the show, there'll be a pop-up shop with pieces from the collection. Translation: You'll actually be able to try — and buy — the items in real life.
Although only a few campaign images are available, Woods aspires to share her personal style for the masses. Think wearable streetwear and athleisure that we know will be Insta-worthy.
“It’s a very on-trend assortment,” said Roslyn Griner, Addition Elle’s vice president of marketing and visual display, according to WWD. “Jordyn loves streetwear and we wanted to make that a part of her collection.”
Unlike most NYFW collections, this one will range from $42 to $178. So getting the look straight from the runway will be easier than ever!
Although the sizes in the collection are currently unknown, Woods definitely encourages size inclusivity and thinks more work still needs to be done on that front.
“I”m on the fence about the word plus sized,” Woods said to WWD. “Why do we need to categorize people by their size? There should be one section that has all size ranges."
This definitely won't be her last collab with the brand, since Woods has signed on for a second collection, so we can expect many seasons of Jordyn yet to come.
