I hope you're sitting down: after nearly 10 years of thigh-high boots and bodycon dresses, the Kardashians have allegedly parted ways with superstylist Monica Rose.
Monica, who has been working with the Kardashians since 2007, has been almost singlehandedly responsible for creating the family's ever-evolving looks — including Kendall's model-off-duty style...
...Kylie's ~revealing~ editorial looks...
...Kourtney's sleek, neutral layers...
But it's been Rose's long-time styling relationship with Khloe that's been the most important. Not only has she dressed Khlo-money, she also helped her learn to love her body.
"At my fattest, Monica would always come with racks of clothes and make me feel special," Khloe said in a past interview with Harper's Bazaar. "She never told me, ‘Oh, they don’t have that in your size.’ Other people actually said, ‘I just can’t work with you’– because I was too big. That always hurt my feelings, of course."
While we don't know what happened between the Kardashians and Rose, it must have been dramatic — as of Friday, every single Kardashian and Jenner had unfollowed their former stylist and friend on Instagram.
But that's not all. Per Page Six, "Rose recently hired a lawyer to keep some of the wilder scuttlebutt out of the headlines." Seems like the tea may be HOT.
Supermodel — and Kardashian-Jenner BFF — Gigi Hadid is also rumored to have stopped working with Rose.
Once again, according to Page Six, "The fashion world is buzzing with theories about the schism — which began several weeks ago — as the mass exodus of famous clients happened so fast."
What will this mean for Monica Rose's other clients, like Chrissy Teigen, who are still part of the Kardashian clique?
Page Six reports that a source says that Teigen is still "on board" with Monica — so no changes there for now.
The Kardashian-Jenners may have dumped Monica Rose, but she's reportedly still dressing some really high-profile people for the Met Gala — which is tonight.
In an interview published on Friday, she told Teen Vogue that you can expect "Very avant garde looks," from her clients at this years' Met Gala. "We're still in the process of getting measurements and going through sketches. It's still in the beginning stages."
How this fashion break-up will impact the Kardashian-Jenner style game, we don't yet know.
Maybe they'll start wearing their coats properly again. Hey, anything is possible.
