Today in Style News I Never Thought I'd Report: Robert Pattinson, former sparkly vampire and current unicorn-haired Dior muse, is apparently working on his own fashion line.
Renesmee, take the wheel.
"I’ve started making clothes. For the last two years, I’ve been visiting producers and craftsmen. There’s already quite a few pieces. I love doing it," the current face of Dior Homme said in an interview with Numero.
"My style is influenced by the cities I go to, sourcing fabrics and local skills," Pattinson continues. "In Los Angeles it’s really easy to work with denim and do workwear inspired clothes. In England I look more towards wool and knitwear."
The part of me that has reached Complete Celebrity Fashion Line Saturation wants to roll her eyes and make fun of this, but I can't! I just can't! It certainly doesn't sound like he's just slapping his name on some holey sweatpants and selling them for hundreds of dollars (*cough* KANYE) — it sounds like he's actually learning about an entire industry that he's interested in. Isn't that why the Fashion World loves the Olsens so much? Because they learned about the art and craft of design? I honestly can't hate on him for that!
But don't expect a mass-market diffusion line from R.Pattz: "What I do is pretty multifaceted, clothes for men and for women, things that I make with friends... But I’m not going into too much detail, I don’t want to jinx anything..."
Here's hoping one of the "friends" he's been collaborating with is his insanely talented fiance, FKA Twigs. I'd cheerfully murder people to get my hands on clothing that reflects her badass style.
