I'm willing to splurge on a good pair of heels as much as the next Stuart Weitzman stan. But when I laid eyes on these extremely pricey heels, I had a lot of questions.
Priced at $15 million, the "World's Most Expensive Shoes" look like a craft project gone so very wrong.
Look, I get that these heels are dripping in gold and diamonds, but why does it have to resemble a cake at the same time? Or a caramel chocolate bar? Regardless, they cost more than all of my friends' college tuitions COMBINED.
The shoes aren't simply for show, but are actually a birthday gift!
These shoes cost more than most episodes of "My Super Sweet Sixteen." Damn.
The heels were designed by Debbie Wingham, according to Harper's Bazaar Arabia. Wingham is a pro at covering simple items in diamonds. She previously made a $75 million cake, a $5.6 million black diamond dress, and a $17 million diamond abaya.
They even used 18 carat gold thread to stitch the shoes!
I didn't even know real gold thread existed. I wonder if they got it from Michael's...
So HOW can a pair of shoes cost $15 million? Well, they have platinum set diamonds, solid gold zips, and a solid gold plaque under the shoe, according to Splash. If that wasn't enough, they also have super rare blue and pink diamonds. So you probably won't see these bad boys at DSW any time soon.
