After a series of unfortunate events that started with a car accident and ended with a skin cancer diagnosis, Megan Sullivan got on a plane and made the most epic journey: a 28,000-mile journey to see all Seven Wonders of the World in 13 days.

"The only regrets that I have in my life are from the missed opportunities that I never took a chance on," Sullivan wrote in a post for Bored Panda. "This year I took a chance and I will continue taking chances to experience the greatest adventure of all: my life."

She's documented her travels on her blog, Meg the Legend, and on Instagram. Let's see where she's been.

Sullivan began her journey at the Chichen Itza ruins in Mexico and started hashtagging her photos with #livemorenow.

Second day, second wonder: Machu Picchu, Peru. "I lost my breath walking into the fourth dimension of this Inca civilization," Sullivan wrote on her blog.

Cristo Redentor (Christ the Redeemer) is a large statue of Jesus in Rio de Janeiro. Sullivan's travel companion and photographer was a guy she had just started dating two weeks prior.

On the way from Brazil to Rome to see the Colosseum, Sullivan spent her nine-hour layover in Paris visiting the Eiffel Tower and drinking Bordeaux.

Up next: Petra, Jordan. "Strategically staged camels and locals dressed in elaborate costumes gave the feeling that we were on set of the next Jack Bauer '24' episode," Sullivan blogged, "rather than in the presence of a modern Wonder."

Sullivan's sixth wonder was the Taj Mahal. "I would highly recommend [Mehtab Bagh] park to get your hazy view of the love tomb."

Last but not least, the Great Wall of China. Sullivan and her now-boyfriend took a ski lift to the top of the Wall, a toboggan ride back down.

"In recent years, and it was made all too clear in recent months that life is short," Sullivan reflected. "To live it with any kind of regret is not a quote that you embroider into a pillow, but one that one must actually live by."

Sullivan's still going!

Since her Seven Wonders trip, she's also been to the Grand Canyon, Base Camp at Everest, and Yosemite. Find more of her travels on her blog or on Instagram...
