Get ready, witches — after years of rumors, Variety confirmed that The CW has a "Charmed" reboot in the works.
But there's a twist: This new "Charmed" is heading back to the 1970s.
The CW revealed that the "reimagining" will take place in 1976 — a huge change from the original series, which was set in the present day.
"Charmed" ran on The WB Network for eight seasons from 1998-2006 and starred Shannen
Doherty, Alyssa Milano, Holly Marie Combs, and Rose McGowen.
But the fate of "Charmed" rests in good hands: Jennie Snyder Urman — the mastermind behind “Jane the Virgin” — is involved in the witchy reboot.
The CW also enlisted “Jane the Virgin” writers
Jessica O’Toole and Amy Rardin to draft the pilot, so you know this show is about to be ~magical~.
Alyssa Milano made it clear a few years ago that a reboot was *definitely* not on her radar.
"It feels too close," she insisted in 2013.
However, she's clearly had a change of heart. She drafted an excited tweet following the announcement.
Holly Marie Combs also tweeted a positive reaction, saying that she and her fellow sisters "wish them well."
The reboot hasn't been given a pilot order for filming just yet.
But The Charmed Ones are already harnessing their powers in anticipation.
