Almost two whole months down the road, family and friends of Luke Perry — alongside the entirety of the entertainment industry — are still reeling from the sudden and unexpected death of one of TV's most iconic presences. And that's not going to change anytime soon.

Still, fans of Perry's current project, The CW's hit teen drama Riverdale, are still scratching their heads while trying to figure out how the show's writers will address the absence of his character, Fred Andrews. As father to main protagonist Archie, Fred is a key figure and arguably the strongest voice of reason in the show — clearly, his lack of presence will be more than noticeable now that his final appearance has been aired.

Show creators have confirmed that the show will address the actor's death in writing, but no one will ultimately know how for the next three weeks, during which the final episode of the show's third season will air. KJ Apa, who plays Archie, was recently asked how that change might be addressed — and though he couldn't spill all the beans, he did have some very telling hints.
