In June, Kim Kardashian was accused of using blackface when her skin tone appeared noticeably darker in the first set of KKW Beauty promo images.

Kardashian denied wearing blackface, insisting that she was just "really tan" when the photos were shot.

The outrage eventually died down and fans moved onto the next KarJenner scandal — but the blackface ordeal was brought up yet again on Sunday's episode of "Keeping Up With The Kardashians."

On a recent episode of "KUWTK," we saw how Kardashian discussed the allegation with her inner circle.

She noticed the negative response to her campaign while she was with longtime assistant Stephanie Shepherd.

"People online are saying I'm doing blackface, but I would never in a million years be disrespectful and do that," she told Shepherd.

Kardashian claimed she was going for a "moody" look, but fans mistook it for blackface.

Talking directly to the camera, Kardashian insisted her team was going for a "moody" makeup look that showed off the contouring — but the "toxic" internet thought otherwise.

"I feel like people are just waiting for me to make a mistake," Kardashian lamented.

She promptly called KKW Beauty's chief digital official, who told her to address the issue head-on.

Kardashian's team decided to replace the controversial images with re-edited photos.

Although Kardashian was disappointed she had a controversial start to her campaign, she understood where her fans were coming from.

"It just sucks because it wasn't the intention," her assistant noted.

"When you're running shit you just have to own up to it," Kardashian explained. "I fully understood what people are saying."
