In April, the internet went wild over photos of Kim Kardashian strolling on the beach in Mexico.

But unfortunately, the buzz wasn't over her sleek beach hair or effortlessly cool swimsuit — the photos went viral because Kardashian's butt had *dun dun duncellulite.

Fans cheered because the photos proved Kardashian also has "imperfections."

But rather than use this opportunity to embrace her body's lumps and bumps, Kardashian immediately went into denial.

"People were Photoshopping them and sharpening them," Kardashian insisted on "The View" in June. "They're the worst photos. I was already not feeling like myself and then when people were like sharpening them and making them look way worse."

Fans knew Kardashian was incredibly upset over the "unflattering" photos.

But what most people didn't realize was that she had tons of anxiety upon seeing the snapshots.

Her initial reaction to the photos was captured on a recent episode of "Keeping Up With The Kardashians."

Still on her Mexico trip, Kardashian was sunbathing when her friend informed their girl squad that the paparazzi had found them.

"Oh my God, someone got us walking on the beach," her friend announced.

She handed off her photo to Kardashian, who immediately gasped at the sight of her figure.

"Oh my God!" Kardashian stammered.

Another friend asked if the photos were "good," and Kardashian immediately fired back with a "no."

"Like, I don't get it!" Kardashian ranted, raising her voice. "I literally don't look like this."

Kardashian told the cameras that the paparazzi snapshots heightened her anxiety.

“I’m already having this anxiety attack over security and I’m already on high alert and now paparazzi found us," she lamented. "I’m doing all the steps to try to be as private and discreet as possible, and then you take pictures."

The mother of two opened up about the pressure she feels to look "perfect" at every angle.

'If [the photographs] are not perfect, people just body shame and criticize you," Kardashian continued. "For people just to think that’s OK is so frustrating."

But rather than condemn society's ridiculous beauty standards, Kardashian gave in to her body shamers.

Her plan of action: Simply untagging herself in the photos she deemed "unacceptable."

“I need to untag myself in everything,” she declared. “I’m literally going to go inside and just start untagging.”

Kardashian could have used this moment to celebrate her cellulite.

Tons of people have cellulite. It's something that should be shrugged off as normal and natural — not something that women should have to hide or deny.

Kardashian could've used her platform to challenge the cellulite stigma, but this opportunity was missed.
