Netflix has some exciting things planned for next year — from season 3 of Stranger Things to new Shonda Rhimes content — but before we move on completely from 2018, let us reflect on all the binge-worthy content we ingested. From the adored shows like "The Haunting of Hill House" and "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina," to the controversial like "Insatiable" and "13 Reasons Why" we all had our guilty pleasures. But how do your most-binged Netflix original shows and films measure up to the rest of the world's?

Well, in a very rare press release, Netflix decided to dish on some of its secretive stats from 2018. It's a small sneak peek into the belly of the beast that is Netflix, but a look nonetheless that we've never had before. The streaming giant released a "Year in Review" list highlighting which movies, shows, and stars we all "fell in love" with in 2018. And some may surprise you!

Netflix blessed us with plenty of binge-worthy show in 2018 and, of course, we all had our favorites (mine was "Hill House"). But of those that were released between January 1 and November 28, these were the top 10 most binged. The number one spot goes to "On my Block," the diverse teen dramedy which follows four teens as they navigate their way through high school, puberty, love, heartbreak, and violence in present-day South Central Los Angeles.

"On My Block" wasn't necessarily the most-watched of all Netflix original series, but the most-binged, meaning it had the "highest average watch time per viewing session." In other words, fans couldn't stop hitting play on the next episode.

Many people were surprised their favorite shows didn't make the list — like "Elite" and "Sense8".

Others were even more shocked to see the controversial hit "Insatiable" made the list at number 9. It just goes to show you don't ever know what will hook people.

The streaming giant didn't disappoint in the film department this year either. People obsessed over "To All The Boys I've Loved Before" and "Sierra Burgess Is A Loser," but to the surprise of many, neither one made the top slot of films that fans rewatched the most.

It was "The Kissing Booth" starring Joey King that had people continuously rewatching. Nearly fifty percent of viewers enjoyed a second viewing of both this film and "To All The Boys I've Loved Before."

With all the new content, we were introduced to hundreds of new talented faces. But there's a group of fabulous guys we all couldn't get enough of: the Fab Five. Unsurprisingly, Lana Candor, Noah Centineo, and Kiernan Shipka also made the list.

The list was created based on stars who appeared in a film or series who received the largest percentage of growth in Instagram followers since January.

As it turns out, many of the most beloved shows, films, and stars are beautifully diverse. WHO WOULD'VE THOUGHT?
