KJ Apa as Archie in "Riverdale"

It wouldn't be Riverdale without endless amounts of shirtless Archie Andrews shots, and it looks like season four will be no different.

Showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa shared a behind-the-scenes shot from filming season four of all of the boys washing cars shirtless. Now fans are even more impatiently awaiting the upcoming season. KJ Apa is obviously looking cut in the post, and so are his costars Charles Melton and newcomer Eli Goree.

At Comic-Con, the core four and Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) gave insider details about the fourth season, and assured fans that even more shirtless Archie scenes are headed to TV screens on October 9.

Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa joked that this season there'd be a Magic Mike–themed musical, and no one would complain about that idea.

"Confirmed: #Riverdale doing 'Magic Mike the musical' this year. JK. (But not really.)" Aguirre-Sacasa wrote on his Instagram post with plenty of telling emojis. He included flames, trophies, footballs, and burgers (duh) that provide a hint at the season that is to come. The lead writer joked in his caption knowing full well the talk surrounding all of Archie's (KJ APA) shirtless moments set to come.

Last season the redhead spent a lot of time in the ring and plenty of time shirtless.

Veronica (Camila Mendes) feeds her beau a stack of burgers at Pop's before a big weigh-in. This upcoming season will possibly feature more fights and definitely plenty of football. Varchie shippers have a lot to look forward to also, because they are getting back together and are apparently as strong as ever.

In multiple interviews at Comic-Con the cast laughed about the ample shirtless scenes to come in the fourth season.

At the 6:32 mark of this video, Apa and his costars share that there will be more shirtless scenes than ever. "The shirtless process is gnarly," Apa said in the interview. His character has multiple scars and tattoos that require hours in the makeup chair every shirtless episode.

Someone at BuzzFeed tallied up every single shirtless scene in just the first two seasons, and it was absurd.

"I counted every single time Archie was shirtless on #Riverdale," a writer said on Twitter. In the video clip every single topless picture whizzes past and racks up to 30 times, and that's just in the first two seasons. At this point there are surely well over 50.

Skeet Ulrich, who plays Jughead's dad, FP Jones, applauded the boys on their hard work "washing cars."

"It's important that teenagers develop a good work ethic!" Ulrich joked on Aguirre-Sacasa's post. Other cast members such as Lili Reinhart wrote, "Good god," and Vanessa Morgan commented simply, "Omg." Clearly, the boys of Riverdale have been putting in plenty of hard work at the gym to get these insanely cut figures.

A musical episode is inevitable at this point, so it might as well feature shirtless scenes, too.

Actor Lucy Davis commented, "But they could do Car Wash the musical though?" There are plenty of likely reasons for the boys to be washing cars — perhaps a fundraiser for the football team. But, from Aguirre-Sacasa's caption, I'd say we can expect a shirtless musical number or two.

Keep the shirtless images coming, Riverdale; we're not-so-patiently waiting.

In this shot, Apa's faux scar is on full display. What fans don't know is that it takes hours in a makeup chair every single episode that Archie decides to lose his top, and the process is painstaking for Apa, as he shared at Comic-Con. It's all worth it in the end, though, as fans continue to drool over the look every episode.
