Riverdale fans, rejoice! Yet another character from the Archie Comics realm is getting their own show.

According to THR, the CW has ordered a pilot for a brand new musical dramedy called Katy Keene, based on the memorable comic of the same name. This is the second Riverdale spinoff from showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa — the first being Chilling Adventures of Sabrina on Netflix — and the third show based on iconic Archie Comics characters. Let's hope this new show earns a spot on the CW's 2019-2020 schedule!

Riverdale creator and Archie Comics chief creative officer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa announced the news on Twitter late Wednesday evening.

"The #Riverdale universe expands! Thrilled to be bringing the adventures of Katy Keene and her New York pals to life! Extra-thrilled to be doing this with my pal Michael Grassi," he wrote.

As expected, Aguirre-Sacasa will pen the script for Katy Keene alongside Michael Grassi.

Grassi wrote on Twitter than he "can't wait for everyone to meet Katy Keene and her friends!"

So, who the heck is Katy Keene anyway?

The iconic Archie Comics character was a model, actress, and singer, created by Bill Woggon and first introduced in 1945 as America's Queen of Pin-Ups and Fashions.

According to THR, the show will follow Katy and three of her friends (also considered "iconic Archie Comics characters") as they follow their dreams in New York City.

The group of friends are aspiring artists trying to make it on Broadway, in both fashion and music, thus making the show a "musical dramedy."

There's no word yet whether the characters from Riverdale and/or Chilling Adventures of Sabrina will crossover into Katy Keene's Archie Comics universe.

But, since the show is being sold as a "Riverdale spinoff," there's definitely a chance!

Some fans are already speculating a potential link between the two shows.

One fan said he could see Katy's friends being part of Veronica Lodge's "old NY crew, thus potentially allowing for characters from both shows to have an already established connection." Honestly, this is not a bad idea! Aguirre-Sacasa, you listening?

Most Riverdale fans are incredibly excited to see the Archie Comics world expand.

"Yes, I owned over 1,000 @ArchieComics at one point in my life which included several Katy Keene. Excited to see the treatment for this series!" one user wrote.

Even Mädchen Amick can't contain her excitement. She's already putting in her request to be in a crossover episode!

"Maybe #MamaCoop needs a trip to NYC for a make-over by #KatyKeene," she wrote to Aguirre-Sacasa.

Others are not impressed and would rather the spinoff be based on current Riverdale characters.

Although, I have no idea how that would make sense in the same timeline.

And some are still just begging for a crossover between Riverdale and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

Don't give up hope, kids!

Or keep it all a secret until its debut on the CW!

BTW, now it makes sense where Katy Perry got her entire image.

She even copied the way Katy Keene spelled her name. Weird.

In one fell swoop, the CW also announced a spinoff of Jane the Virgin is also headed our way!

Dubbed Jane The Novelas, the spinoff is described as "a telenovela anthology in the tradition of the flagship series where each season is based on a different fictional novel 'written by' Jane Villanueva and narrated by the author herself."

In other words, the CW has a lot of awesome stuff coming for us in the next year or so.

I, for one, cannot wait to see how it all unfolds.
