On season two of "Riverdale," Veronica (played by Camila Mendes) is determined to integrate her father (played by Mark Consuelos) back into her life.

But apparently, Veronica is trying a little *too* hard, because her mother Hermione (played by Marisol Nichols) called her out.

Stop being so thirsty, Veronica," Hermione retorts, attempting to put a cap on her daughter's eagerness.

Viewers couldn't believe Veronica's mother called her "thirsty."

Twitter thought it was savage AF move.

Some fans can't wait to use Hermione Lodge's one-liner on their own children.

But others thought "thirsty" was an odd word choice.

It's certainly not a "mom word."

And Hermione maaaay have used "thirsty" out of context.

"Thirsty" definitely has a different meaning.

*cringes*

Fortunately, the comment went above a few viewers' heads...

(But even the "Riverdale" cast can't get over that snarky remark.)
