On Thursday, ABC announced that 35-year-old Arie Luyendyk Jr. is the next "Bachelor" — and chances are, you have no idea who TF he is.

Luyendyk Jr. was the runner-up on Emily Maynard‘s season of "The Bachelorette" back in 2012.

The professional auto racer has mostly stayed out of the spotlight since his first franchise appearance, which is probably why Twitter knows absolutely nothing about him.

After ABC's announcement, Bachelor Nation let out a confused, "Come again?"

But, like, seriously... who?

Team Peter Kraus was especially upset.

Kraus, as loyal fans will recall, was Rachel Lindsay's runner-up on the most recent season of "The Bachelorette."

Why Arie? Why now?

But after thinking a bit more about ABC's decision, many viewers were able to brush off their initial disappointment.

Some fans are even — dare I say it — excited for Luyendyk Jr.'s season.

At the very least, Luyendyk Jr. seems to be a pretty skilled kisser. So I guess you have that to look forward to, Bachelor Nation.
