With so much TV available, figuring out what to watch can be a chore all in itself. I watch an unholy amount of television, and yes, I can assure you I have actually watched every show on this list. Now, whether a show is binge-worthy may not always correlate with the actual quality of the writing, but who cares about quality when you just want to be entertained.

Every show on this list will entertain you: whether it's making you laugh, warming your heart, making you cry, or making you gasp. These streaming women-led shows need to be put on your watch list immediately.

Good Trouble

Last by default. With only one episode so far, the promising spinoff of The Fosters is a lot racier, messier, and the perfect drama for anyone starting their "I just left home for the first time, and it is hard as hell being a grown-up" phase of life.

If You Like: The Fosters, Vida, One Day at a Time, or The Bold Type

Stream: Watch on Hulu

Description: "Good Trouble is the spinoff to the critically acclaimed drama The Fosters. The series will follow Callie (Maia Mitchell) and Mariana (Cierra Ramirez) as they embark on the next phase of their young adult lives in Los Angeles."

13

One Day at a Time

Your typical heartwarming but funny family sitcom. Without much of an overarching plot, there's little reason to keep on watching — that doesn't mean you won't anyway. The show is charming and will make you feel good in a time when the rest of the world feels pretty bad.

If You Like: One Day at a Time (OG), All in the Family, Black-ish, Fresh Off the Boat, or Modern Family

Stream: Every episode on Netflix

Description: "When no one else is there to tell you you're wrong, there's always family. Nobody puts the love in tough love quite like the Alvarez family."

12

Light as a Feather

You'll be compelled to keep watching this spooky teen drama just to answer the simple question: WTF is even going on?

If You Like: Pretty Little Liars, The Craft, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, or Riverdale

Stream: Every episode on Hulu

Description:

"An innocent game of 'Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board' goes wrong when the five teen girls who played start dying off in the exact way that was predicted, forcing the survivors to figure out why they’re being targeted – and whether the evil force hunting them down is one of their own."

11

Vida

Never in my life did I think I would see as many naked people engaging in rather graphic sex positions on TV as I have watching Vida. This is the closest you're going to get to Sex and the City, except the city is Los Angeles, not New York, and everyone is getting it on as frequently as Samantha Jones did in SATC. Not to mention, the cast is more diverse and inclusive than its predecessor.

If You Like: Sex and the City, Insecure, Girls, or She's Gotta Have It

Stream: Watch every episode on the Starz app

Description: "Vida focuses on two Mexican-American sisters from the Eastside of Los Angeles who couldn't be more different or distanced from each other. Circumstances force them to return to their old neighborhood, where they are confronted by the past and surprising truth about their mother’s identity."

10

Insecure

If you're the kind of television watcher who can't get enough of a messy love triangle and people who constantly make poor life choices, you won't be disappointed. (That was no shade, that's pretty much what the show is about!)

If You Like: Girls, Sex and the City, Atlanta, She's Gotta Have It, or Vida

Stream: Every episode on HBO Go

Description: "Modern-day black women are usually portrayed as strong, confident, and 'flawless.' But Issa and Molly are definitely not killing it. These best friends must deal with their own real-life flaws as they attempt to navigate different worlds and cope with an endless series of uncomfortable everyday experiences."

9

The Bold Type

The Bold Type is a show that mixes feminism with the everyday ups and downs of three best friends. It doesn't always make sense exactly, but it is always enjoyable to watch.

If You Like: Sex and the City, Girls, Murphy Brown or Insecure

Stream: Every episode on Hulu

Description: "The Bold Type reveals a glimpse into the outrageous lives and loves of those responsible for the global women’s magazine Scarlet. The rising generation of Scarlet women leans on one another as they find their own voices in a sea of intimidating leaders. Together they explore sexuality, identity, love, and fashion."

8

GLOW

There's nothing like a bunch of women comedically learning the meaning of sisterhood by wrestling one another because they are broke AF and have no other opportunities. Not everyone on TV has to be rich and famous.

If You Like: WWE, Orange Is the New Black, or Girls

Stream: Every episode on Netflix

"Inspired by the short-lived but beloved show from the 1980s, GLOW tells the fictional story of Ruth Wilder (Alison Brie), an out-of-work, struggling actress in 1980s Los Angeles who finds one last chance for stardom when she’s thrust into the glitter and spandex world of women's wrestling. In addition to working with 12 Hollywood misfits, Ruth also has to compete with Debbie Eagan (Betty Gilpin), a former soap actress who left the business to have a baby, only to be sucked back into work when her picture-perfect life turns out not to be what it seems. At the wheel is Sam Sylvia (Marc Maron), a washed-up, B-movie director who now must lead this group of women on the journey to wrestling superstardom."

7

Pose

The series follows several trans women trying to make it in the ballroom scene in the 1980s. If you want a good cry and to learn the importance of a chosen family, this is your best bet.

If You Like: Paris Is Burning, RuPaul's Drag Race, Orange Is the New Black, or Tangerine

Stream: Every episode on Amazon

Description: "Set in the 1980s in New York City, Pose is a dance musical that explores the juxtaposition of different segments of society in New York, including the ball culture world."

6

Claws

If you like watching disadvantaged people try to make their lives better by doing various illegal things because they have big dreams, this will not disappoint. Always funny, shocking, and sometimes surprisingly heartbreaking, the women of Claws are more like you than you may think.

If You Like: Good Girls, Shameless, Breaking Bad, Ozarks, or Sons of Anarchy

Stream: Season 1 on Hulu

Description: "Claws is a midnight-dark, wickedly funny meditation on female badness set in a South Florida nail salon. It follows the rise of five diverse and treacherous manicurists working at the Nail Artisan of Manatee County salon, where there is a lot more going on than silk wraps and pedicures. Claws is about good women caught in bad places with worse men. It's the story of hardworking women trying to get by in this economy, set against the surreal, bright, gritty landscape of Florida and the luscious, absurd, extreme excesses of the crime world."

5

SMILF

Directed and written by a woman who also stars as a single mother, the show is a raunchy interpretation of what it means to be a young, broke, single mother in Boston.

If You Like: Shameless, Chewing Gum, Fleabag, or Insecure

Stream: Every episode on Hulu

Description: "Bridgette Bird is a smart, scrappy, young single mom trying to navigate life in South Boston with an extremely unconventional family. She struggles to make ends meet, which leads her to impulsive and at times immature decisions. Above all, Bridgette wants to make a better life for her son. SMILF takes on motherhood, co-parenting, and female sexuality through a raw and unfiltered lens. Don't miss this semi-autobiographical half-hour comedy from the creative mind of Frankie Shaw, an original and fresh new female voice."

4

Good Girls

This is for anyone who loved Breaking Bad, but eventually grew to hate Walter White (as intended by the writers). The women of Good Girls don't make good decisions, but they never get so bad that you have to wonder if you should be rooting for them.

If You Like: Breaking Bad, Ozarks, Weeds, or Claws

Stream: Every episode on Netflix

Description: "When three suburban moms get tired of trying to make ends meet, they decide it's time to stick up for themselves by robbing the local supermarket at (toy) gunpoint. But when the manager catches a glimpse of one of them, and the loot is far more than they expected, it doesn't take long for the three best friends to realize the perfect getaway will be harder than they think. From Executive Producer Jenna Bans (Scandal) comes this comedy-infused drama that mixes a little Thelma and Louise with a bit of Breaking Bad."

3

Killing Eve

There are outfits, messy affairs, multiple castrations, and a perfume that kills you when you spray it. Need I say more?

If You Like: Luther, Scandal, How to Get Away With Murder, or You

Stream: Every episode on Hulu

Description: "Killing Eve centers on two women; Eve is a bored, whip-smart, pay-grade MI5 security officer whose desk-bound job doesn't fulfill her fantasies of being a spy. Villanelle is a mercurial, talented killer who clings to the luxuries her violent job affords her. Based on the novellas by Luke Jennings and written by Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag), Killing Eve topples the typical spy-action thriller as these two women, equally obsessed with each other, go head to head in an epic game of cat and mouse."

2

Big Little Lies

A domestic thriller with breathtaking performances by its women-packed cast, where the mystery lies in not only who is the murderer, but who got murdered.

If You Like: Gone Girl, Good Girls, You, How to Get Away With Murder, or Six Feet Under.

Stream: Every episode on HBO Go

Description: "Based on Liane Moriarty’s bestselling book and featuring Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Zoe Kravitz, Laura Dern, and Shailene Woodley, this darkly comedic series tells the tale of three mothers whose seemingly perfect lives unravel to the point of murder."

You

Really. Truly. If you don't give this show a chance, you don't deserve Netflix. The show was cancelled by Lifetime, but it was so good that Netflix saved it from its demise, even with its low-ratings. Now the show is a viral hit, because it is genuinely one of the most binge-able, bizarre, compelling series you will ever watch.

Imagine if Dan Humphrey's pretentious hipster character from Gossip Girl managed a bookstore and spent his spare time stalking women so that he can become the perfect boyfriend.

Shay Mitchell plays someone named Peach. Need I say more?

If You Like: Gossip Girl, Pretty Little Liars, Sex and the City, or Killing Eve

Stream: Every episode on Netflix

Description: "You, a Netflix Original Series, is the riveting and hypnotic story of Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley), an obsessive yet brilliant New Yorker who exploits today’s technology to win the heart of Beck (Elizabeth Lail) amid the growing suspicions of her best friend Peach (Shay Mitchell). Joe transforms himself from stalker to boyfriend while doing whatever it takes to eliminate all obstacles standing in his way — even if it means murder. Set in today’s 24/7 hyper-connected world, You explores how vulnerable we all are to stalking and manipulation online and in real life."
