Most people would jump at the chance to hang out with a celebrity, or even be thrilled to breathe the same air as someone of moderate Hollywood fame. However, for Instagram-er Average Rob, hanging with the rich famous is less than enchanting.
He does it all the time! Well, sort of.
He photoshops himself in photos with celebrities.
"I started photoshopping my classmates in awkward situations and then from there it just went from doing weird, funny photoshops, to doing things with celebrities," Rob told Revelist.
Average Rob, an advertising and marketing student based in Belgium, says he actually doesn't have a traditional background in graphic design. He started learning Photoshop for school, but he found the lessons boring, so decided to do something about it.
"I learned photoshop on my own, because I loved working with it so much. Suddenly your dreams can become reality — well, virtually."
Rob said he chooses his celebrities at random, or when they've gotten international attention for doing something less than respectable.
"It's pretty much based on how I feel at that moment. I'll just make whatever I think is funny," Rob said. "I just want to make people laugh — too much pessimism and hate in the world. More smiles, please."
Though Rob hasn't heard from many celebrities on his creations, he has gotten reactions from Vine stars Jérôme Jarre and Juanpa Zurita.
Average Rob even hangs with Obama, Trump, and Clinton — what are the chances?
"I want to create images that can make people feel better," Rob said. "Laughing is actually a perfect remedy for sadness. So that's what I want to provide, more happiness."
With these hilarious digitally altered images, Rob is doing just that.
