Anxiety steals you from yourself. It makes you believe the worst case scenario is inevitable. It makes you worry incessantly, sometimes about absolutely nothing.
Sometimes the inability to find something to be anxious about makes you anxious.
The stigma surrounding anxiety and other mental illnesses can cause many who are struggling to feel like they're not deserving of friendship, love, or happiness. While I can't speak for everyone, what I'm learned in my 23 years with anxiety is that while the struggle is not easy, it makes us especially empathetic people — and that's worth cherishing.
