The year is coming to a close, which means it's time to recap all of the epic viral moments that 2018 birthed into the world. Unsurprisingly, people loved trying various viral challenges and sharing the results online.

From golden retrievers holding eggs in their mouths without breaking them (yes, that was really a thing) to people spontaneously "pulling a Neymar" (aka suddenly dropping to the floor and rolling around in faux agony), viral challenges were truly the gifts that kept on giving in 2018.

If this list is any indication, 2019 will probably be full of equally hilarious moments.

The egg that started it all: One woman heard that golden retrievers have such gentle mouths that they can hold eggs without breaking them. And what do you know...it's true!

I mean, A for effort, right?

Black Panther fans wasted no time creating the #MBakuChallenge, which required you to reenact the scene in which M'Baku challenges T'Challa for the throne.

Too good.

If you don't have pets, you probably didn't hear about the "snoot challenge." Essentially, dog owners made circle shapes with their hands and asked their doggies to strategically place their noses through the holes. Yes, really.

OK, this is officially the most adorable thing ever.

Soccer superstar Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior didn't lead Brazil to a World Cup victory this year, but he did inspire this viral challenge where people imitated his penchant for rolling around on the ground.

Taking epic to a whole new level.

The Carters dropped a joint album in 2018, and their video for "Apeshit" spawned this challenge where people literally went, well, apeshit.

INTENSE.

The #MatildaChallenge involved recreating that unforgettable scene in the film Matilda where random objects magically begin flying around in mid-air.

And there was this challenge that encouraged people to mysteriously mesh their hands together. How did they do that?!

And last but not least...KIKI, DO YA LUH ME? If viral challenges had an Olympics, Will Smith definitely took home the gold.

We're ready for ya, 2019!
