Porsche Thomas is no stranger to the drama of reality television. Her father, Peter, is a regular on "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" as cast member Cynthia Bailey's ex-husband. However, Thomas has been cruelly thrust into the spotlight since she announced that she's pregnant with twins.

Rather than being supported as she chronicles her pregnancy on Instagram, the actor, writer, and vegan chef has been bullied for the color of her belly. A wave of cyberbullies descended on Thomas' Instagram a week ago, when she posted a bikini photo.

Strangers left a range of hurtful comments about the complexion of Thomas' belly and her interracial marriage.

One troll called Thomas a "nasty-looking thing" while another questioned why "her stomach is so black."

Many commenters came to her defense, noting that women's bodies undergo many changes through pregnancy, including having bellies that are darker than the rest of their bodies.

However, Thomas herself responded beautifully to the criticism.

In a subsequent Instagram post, Thomas said the comments didn't phase her.

"While some of y'all been in my comments criticizing the Blackness that is my belly and me during what shoulda been your holiday cheer, I been over here enjoying life, growing tiny humans, performing miracles, and hopefully getting even Blacker," she wrote in the caption.

Thomas told BET that she's shaking off the negativity as she prepares to give birth next week:

I shake everything off that’s negative. I don’t hold on to other people’s opinions that have nothing to do with me. I laugh at the ignorance. I know it exists, it's there and it's sad. The fact that we're in a [Donald] Trump era made it less funny. But I don't let things like that bother me. I'm pretty secure in myself.

She also told BET that Black mothers are rarely represented in the coverage of baby bumps.

"We're so used to seeing white baby bumps," she said. "We don't really get to see Black baby bumps and when we [do], people have a negative reaction to it, for some reason, like it's vulgar."

Thomas told Revelist that's she aiming to change that by remaining positive in the final week of her pregnancy.

"Pregnancy is a beautiful time and I enjoy sharing mine. It's a shame that people see that openness and view it as an opportunity to bully or criticize," she said. "However, I never let that bother me. I realize that those issues are not mine and have nothing to do with me.  My happiness and confidence couldn't possibly be determined by anyone externally, especially not on social media."

Keep slaying, Porsche Thomas!

Enjoying ALL of this moment ☝????️ so #grateful to @brucetalbot for capturing it ???? #pregnant #twins #babybump
