2019 came with a lot of drama, a lot of YouTube mess, and tons of celebrity disappointments. However, it was also filled with some powerful beauty-positivity moments that showed us that it wasn't all bad. From proud displays of stretch marks, Vogue firsts, and fashion show head-turners, there was no shortage of awe-inspiring moments.

So ahead, check out 10 of our favorites that 2019 had to offer.

Nabela X E.L.F Cosmetics

"A Bangladeshi-American, plus sized, Muslim girl has her very own makeup collection with @elfcosmetics," the beauty influencer posted about her groundbreaking collaboration with the makeup line. "A collection celebrating her South Asian heritage and individual beauty. "

Tess Holliday X Chromat

Strutting the runway in that now-infamous "Sample Size" dress, the always-inclusive Chromat fashion show was the definition of body positivity on every front.

Lizzo Baring It All

Lizzo has stripped many times this year, and each time, we stan her more and more. She continues to be proof that no matter your size, women should be confident in the skin they're in. Keep being completely unapologetic, sis!

Savage X Fenty Fashion Show

The spectacular display of body positivity earned the clothing line its rightful spot as the new lingerie authority. After Victoria's Secret announced that it canceled its fashion show, fans were happy to learn that they would have Savage for years to come.

Hunter McGrady X Brides

"t feels so Incredible to be on the cover of something and it not be 'labeled' because I am plus size. It is just ME, as I am," she said about the honor. "I applaud @theknot for making such an inclusive and wonderful issue and I am so proud to be a part of it as the cover model + guest editor!"

Serena Williams X Harper's Bazaar

Williams showed us what she's working with for a completely non-retouched cover. “I’ve been shamed because of my body shape … In short, it’s never been easy," she said in her personal essay in the magazine. "But then I think of the next girl who is going to come along who looks like me, and I hope, ‘Maybe, just maybe, my voice will help her.’”

Winnie Harlow and Shahad Salman X Vogue Arabia

For the first time ever, not one but two models with vitiligo graced the cover of Vogue Arabia. "When I saw the beautiful Shahad on instagram about a year ago I knew I wanted to do something powerful with her," Harlow said on her Instagram. "Thank you @mrarnaut and @voguearabia for not only making dreams come true but for being a voice in a time for change in women empowerment and representation!"

Jameela Jamil

The body-positivity advocate worked on two state bills in Massachusetts. The first aimed to prevent kids from buying diet pills and supplements not approved by the FDA, and the second prevented photoshopping in ads that include unrealistic bodies.

Sarah Hyland Speaks Out

The actress, who has kidney dysplasia and endometriosis, addressed a photo circulating of her. "To my fellow #invisibleillness warriors," she said. "It’s ok to be insecure about your body. Just remember to check in with yourself at least once a day and say thank you. Our bodies have endured unfathomable feats that our minds barely have time to comprehend what has actually happened. With inflammation, excess water gain, and medications, my skin has a hard time bouncing back."

Ashley Graham's Naked Post

The model and mother-to-be posted a naked selfie that featured rolls and stretch marks. "Same same but a little different," she said about her beautiful body.
