J.K. Rowling never fails to bring magic into the world, and this time, we got to witness her work right before our eyes — or computer screens.

The "Harry Potter" author got a tweet from Bana, a 7-year-old Syrian girl. She and her mother went viral this fall after they created a Twitter account to chronicle the war happening in Aleppo. Bana and her family still live in the war-torn country where airstrikes and crime has taken countless lives.

She tweeted Rowling to say she watched a "Harry Potter" movie, but wanted to read one of the books.

At first, Rowling didn't quite realize Bana needed help accessing a book.

But after it clicked, Rowling worked her usual magic.

She sent Bana an e-book. *cue tears*

Harry Potter literally transcends time and space — and countries.
